Bakery and confectionery technology specialists are taking the opportunity of the industry’s meeting at Anuga FoodTec to exhibit their newest equipment innovations.
Conveyor belt producer Ammeraal Beltech has announced the featuring of a new and versatilesolution that offers optimal hygiene and lower cost of ownership: the Soliflex PRO mini. Designed to accommodate smaller-sized products, the Soliflex PRO mini joins the company’s range of food-safe belts. Soliflex PRO belts can be used for different food-related conveying processes, from meat/ poultry and fish and seafood processing to bakery, confectionery, and dairy products.
Brabender Technologie offers advice on continuous production. Product highlights for the food industry include the fruit feeder and the weigh belt feeder, which is currently being redesigned for the Anuga FoodTec, and will be on display for the first time. “Brabender Technologie are more than happy to answer questions posed by the food industry and can provide valuable information to aid in decision-making. We have been partnering with food producers for many years and have a wealth of relevant experience”, Klaus Plien, head of export sales at Brabender Technologie in Duisburg, explains.
The specialist in measurement and control systems for the food industry will be showcasing the following devices to visitors:
- Farinograph-TS with Aqua-Inject: the metering device for ascertaining the water absorption and kneading properties of flours comes with improved handling and temperature control compared to predecessor models, plus Aqua-Inject, the add-on module for automatic, accurate water titration.
- KETSE 20/40 Lab Compounder: twin-screw extruder that texturizes and modifies
- foods like cereals, pasta, proteins, snacks and starches.
- Micro Visco Amylo-Graph (MVAG): the device that measures the viscosity
- properties of flours, starches and other materials in particular and also provides information on enzyme activity (α-amylase).
- GlutoPeak: quick gluten quality measurement method that provides information about the characteristics of flour, whole grain, vital gluten and baking mixtures.
- Quadrumat Junior: high-performance laboratory mill that produces up to 500g of flour in five minutes.
The “Rapid Flour Check” for the GlutoPeak rheometer, which provides a “rheological fingerprint” of any flour analyzed in just a few minutes, won the FoodTec Awards 2018 recognition.
GEA will exhibit Pavan Group’s technology at the stand, only a few months after acquiring the Italian technology group. Pavan, a leading supplier of extrusion and milling technology for processing all kinds of fresh and dry pastas, cereal-based snacks and breakfast cereals, will present their technology know-how – from raw material handling to final packaging.
Under the heading ‘Discover the World of Food’ GEA will be promoting its key themes of innovation, food safety, top quality and maximum flexibility for food at the trade fair. Key exhibits will include the GEA MaxiFormer; the GEA S-Tec Spiral Freezer; GEA Combi Plus and the GEA Hilge HYGIA H high pressure pump.
Next, Klüber Lubrication will be demonstrating at Anuga FoodTec 2018 how the tribology expert’s specialty lubricants and custom-fit services can minimize the risk of contamination in the manufacturing process, through the usage of a minimum quantity of lubrication, high quality products and services, and high safety standards.
MULTIVAC will present its new cutting system on a compact R 145 thermoforming packaging machine.
The novel BAS 20 shaped contour cutter is characterized by its compact construction, and is therefore suitable for use on all thermoforming packaging machines, even the R1xx series, the company explains. The BAS 20 allows even small businesses and companies to produce shaped contour packs very efficiently. Thanks to short set-up times, it offers a high degree of flexibility in terms of package design, the format to be produced and packaging materials used. The BAS 20 can be designed to cut without trim waste, and contributes to reduce consumption of packaging materials, and to lower packaging costs.
MULTIVAC will also its comprehensive portfolio of line-capable marking solutions and inspection systems for the food industry.
On the other hand, the X-line, a new generation of thermoforming packaging machines, has been given the Gold International FoodTec Award 2018. The thermoforming packaging machine sets a new benchmark in the market thanks to its range of innovative technology. As a result of its seamless digitalization, comprehensive sensor system and networking with the MULTIVAC Cloud, the X-line promises quality and performance.
Moreover, Sandvik Process Systems will use Anuga FoodTec 2018 to highlight the extensive range of food related applications for its carbon and stainless steel belts, and will be demonstrating one of its conveyor units.
Applications range from simple conveying and sorting, to operations where the thermal properties of a steel belt – the ability to conduct heat and operate in extreme temperatures – are also important, such as freezing, cooling, solidification, drying, cooking and baking. One of the key advantages of processing on a steel belt is the assurance of maximum hygiene; the strength, flatness and durability of a solid steel belt enables easy and effective cleaning and sanitizing. This means that Sandvik stainless steel belts are often used for GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliant processing.
JEROS ACE will present its industrial cleaning system for multihead weigher components, a flexible cleaning system for scale parts. This system helps achieve a substantial reduction of time needed for the cleaning of scale parts. It speeds up the production output by reducing the product change-over-time, cuts labor costs, makes cleaning easier and has a perfect cleaning result.
The system is a solution for the increased hygiene regulations in food industry. Due to the rinse temperature of 85°C, the components are disinfected and bacteria free within an only 6 min wash time.
