Nestle Halts Chocolate Production Following US Factory Salmonella Find PDF Print E-mail
Written by admin
Nestle has stopped production at their Burlington, Wisconsin, factory after a batch of chocolate chips tested positive for salmonella.

This is the second time a Nestle production line at the Wisconsin, US, site has been shut down due to contamination this year.

Contamination was contained within the US facility meaning no products needed to be recalled.

Batches analysed since the find have tested negative for the bacteria.

Intensive cleaning of the facility has since been carried out.

Production was believed to have re-started at the plant yesterday.
