Kraft to invest $36 million in new biscuit line PDF Print E-mail

Kraft Foods Corporation, one of the world's largest food producers, is planning to invest $36 million in a biscuit complex at the Trostianets-based Ukraina confectionery factory, external communications coordinator at CJSC Kraft Foods Ukraine Ruslan Kavatsiuk told Interfax-Ukraine.

The line is to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2011. According to Kavatsiuk, the complex will have two biscuit production lines.

Kraft Foods Ukraine has been operating on the Ukrainian market since 1994. Its core foods are chocolate, coffee and salty snacks. It incorporates the Trostianets-based Ukraina chocolate factory and a Vyshgorod facility for the production of potato chips, other snacks, and packs of coffee.

In Ukraine the company sells products under the following brands: Korona, Milka, Vedmedyk Barni, Lux, Jacobs, and Carte Noire.
