Tate & Lyle reveal new high-fibre cookie product PDF Print E-mail

Food ingredients company Tate & Lyle is showcasing new high-fibre cookie products, made with the company's recently-launched PROMITOR Soluble Corn Fibre 85, at a US trade show this month.

Whilst at Supply Expo, in California, the firm will show off its Cranberry Oatmeal White Chocolate Chip Cookie, made from a dry version of the PROMITOR solution.

Judy Turner, global applications manager at Tate & Lyle, said that research had shown that PROMITOR Soluble Corn Fibre 85 helped consumers maintain good digestive health.

"Two of the most important benefits of using [the ingredient] in a wide range of foods and beverages is the high tolerance levels experienced by consumers and the cost benefits that manufacturers of other fibres on the market can't match," she added.
