The UK's leading independent food ingredients manufacturer, Macphie of Glenbervie, has strengthened its Board with the appointment of Andrew Underwood as Sales and Marketing Director.

Andrew brings twenty-seven years of food industry experience with him, having held a number of senior roles, most recently with Authentic Foods. He has also worked at Brakes, Schwan's Consumer Brands and Coca-Cola.

Andrew who is Manchester born and bred, will be dividing his time between the firm's head-quarters in Glenbervie and Manchester, which is closer to Macphie's core customer-base.

Head-quartered in Glenbervie, Scotland, the company produces a wide variety of high quality cake and bread mixes; glazes; cream alternatives; icings; desserts; fruit coulis and sauces for the bakery, foodservice and food manufacturing sectors.
