On September 18, Rademaker officially opened its new R&D Center. With this occasion, the company hosted two seminars, “Hi Tech in Bakery” and “Health in the Bakery Industry” (the latter being organized by Puratos and the Dutch Boulangerie Team).  

Roland Kals, technical director of Rademaker, welcomed the participants. A presentation by Henri in 't Veld and Frank Zaaijer followed, on product management and product development at Rademaker. 

Two of Rademaker’s partners then told their story about working together Bram de Vrught of Qing, followed by Leendert Fase from Elcee. Together with Elcee, Rademaker has worked on a project to develop a special bearing for Rademaker that does not require any lubrication.

Jeroen van Blokland, Rademaker CEO shared insights into the development and growth of the company. 

Ineke Dezentjé Hamming-Bluemink, chairman of FME, also spoke at the event, detailing on the smart industry and the way Rademaker works.

After the opening ceremony, a tour with demonstrations throughout the various departments within Rademaker was part of the day’s agenda. The participants took a tour of the newly opened R&D Center and the production halls. The program also included a demonstration by the Dutch Boulangerie Team in the test bakery; a showcase of the Crusto breadline was displayed in the Training Center.

BeNeLux Seminar “Health in the Bakery Industry “ 

On the September 19, the BeNeLux seminar took place at Rademaker headquarters in Culemborg. This seminar was jointly organized with Puratos and the Dutch Boulangerie Team.

The presentation was preceded by a demonstration from the Dutch Boulangerie Team on the Rademaker Croissant machine and Crusto breadline. Paul Rogmans of Puratos then spoke about ingredients and industrialization.

The Dutch Bakery Association also shared updates regarding the changes within commodity law. Subsequently, Sebastiaan Schreijen of the Rabobank shared market and trend updates.

The program also included a lecture by Luud Gilessen of Maastricht University on the "Well on wheat" project, and a Rademaker presentation by Dennis Everaers on gluten-free products.
