Gluten-free bakery market will grow at a CAGR of 10.39% by 2021, according to the research report “Global Gluten-free Bakery Market 2017-2021”, recently launched by HTF Market Intelligence.  

According to the analysts, one market driver is the rise in the number of people with gluten intolerances and allergies, while the high prices of gluten free bakery products represent a challenge in this respect.

The most important players/vendors are Pinnacle Foods, Dr. Schär, Hain Celestial, and General Mills, according to the report. 

Gluten is a type of protein found in grains such as wheat, rye, barley, and others. The consumption of gluten might irritate the lining of the small intestine, leading to a weaker immune system in certain people with the pre-existing auto-immune condition. Considering this tendency among consumers, manufacturers are introducing a wide variety of gluten-free food products in the market and most gluten-free bakery products are consumed as a part of meals.
