Bedford Industries, a twist tie and automation manufacturer, announced the acquisition of Tach-It, a provider of “Entry Level Automation” solutions, on July 7. This acquisition will expand Bedford’s portfolio and help both businesses improve their products more efficiently and consistently.
Bedford President, Jay Milbrandt, stated: “Like Bedford, Tach-It is a family-owned business with a respected industry reputation built on innovation, reliability, and long-standing customer relationships, […] Tach-It’s products complement Bedford’s existing automation capabilities and accelerate our ability to serve customers seeking practical, scalable automation solutions.”
Steven Clements, the President of Tach-It, also stated: “As an industry leader in tabletop and hand-held twist tie machines, labeling solutions, and other unique and exclusive product lines, Tach-It is excited about the acquisition with Bedford, […] The synergies between Bedford and Tach-It are extensive and will open the door to new opportunities, applications, and enhanced service and support for our combined customer base.”
Tach-It’s existing operations and customer relationships will be supported throughout the transition, and they will receive full support of their already purchased machines, according to Tach-It.
Bedford is currently planning to build upon the Tach-It brand and integrate its product offerings into broader automation solutions, encouraging customers to implement “Entry Level Automation” as soon as possible.
