Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., is advising Europastry, a global player in the frozen bakery sector, in its agreement to acquire Highland Baking Company, a family-owned US producer of premium breads for the foodservice channel. This acquisition will accelerate Europastry’s global reach in North America’s bakery sector, and the transaction is expected to create a global bakery powerhouse, according to the company’s press release.
Greenberg Traurig’s multidisciplinary team representing Europastry was led by Antonio Pena, co-chair of the firm’s Latin America Practice, and Miami Corporate Shareholder Henry R. Rocque, and the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in the second half of 2026.
