izzio Launches Direct-to-Consumer Sourdough Bread Subscription Service

izzio artisan bakery, a family-owned US bakery based in Colorado, has launched a direct-to-consumer subscription program where shoppers can choose from two options: The Real Sourdough Edit by izzio, which is a monthly assortment of six breads curated by the company’s bakers, or Build Your Custom Box, an option that lets customers select those six favorite breads and choose delivery frequency.

In their press release, izzio cited a 2025 Mintel report which stated that 62% of US consumers have a food or beverage subscription service.

Sara Kafadar, Chief Commercial Officer at izzio, stated: “At izzio, we believe everyone should have access to real sourdough […] Our new subscription program makes it easier for consumers to enjoy our small-batch sourdough breads that start with just three main ingredients, undergo a long fermentation process, and never use shortcuts like vinegar to enhance sour flavor. We couldn’t be more excited to bring the taste of real sourdough to consumer doorsteps nationwide.”

The Real Sourdough Edit option, which is available for USD105 per month, will bring an inaugural October box that includes hand-selected breads and is available to subscribers who enroll by September 30. The box includes Organic Italian Sourdough Sandwich Bread, which is a new product of theirs, Organic Sprouted Seeds Sourdough Sandwich Bread, Power Grains Sourdough Sliced Batard, Classic Sourdough Sliced Boule, Heat & Serve Ciabatta Sourdough, and Heat & Serve Roasted Garlic Sourdough.

Along with the bread box, customers receiving the October box will also receive a 12-ounce jar of Nuttzo Organic Paleo Power Fuel nut butter as a seasonal gift, and the first 50 subscribers will be gifted a complimentary izzio tote bag.

For the Build Your Custom Box option, customers will get to choose any six izzio breads and have them delivered every two, four, six or eight weeks. Each custom box purchased is USD115.
