Lotus Bakeries revealed in a recent report that they plan to invest at least USD500m in the expansion of the global production for their brand, Biscoff, which would mark it as the company’s largest capital investment program in their history.
The five-year investment program will span from 2026 to 2030 and will fund major capacity expansions for Biscoff manufacturing facilities in the US, Belgium and Thailand.
CEO of Lotus Bakeries, Jan Boone, stated: “We are committing to the largest Biscoff expansion program in our company’s history, investing at least €500 million across three continents between 2026 and 2030.”
The move also includes an expansion of the company’s facility in Mebane, North Carolina, where a new production hall for Biscoff cookies and spread is expected to come online by mid-2028, with additional capacity available in 2029
Lotus Bakeries already completed the first part of its new Choburi production plant in Thailand is already working on a new production hall, with its new production line scheduled to be operational by late 2027. Construction has also begun in Lembeke, Belgium, for another production hall, following the receipt of necessary permits.
