Nairn’s have announced the expansion of their gluten-free offering with the addition of Nairn’s Gluten-Free Chunky Biscuit Breaks.

These two new additions are significantly lower in sugar than other gluten-free sweet options on the market, containing at least 35% less sugar than the average gluten-free sweet biscuit.The new products are made with gluten-free oats, making them ideal for those who suffer from celiac disease or choose to follow a gluten-free lifestyle.

Nairn’s Gluten Free-Chunky Biscuit Breaks – Oats, Dark Chocolate & Coconut is a variant that taps into the coconut trend and contains 35% less sugar than the average sweet gluten-free biscuit. It contains dark chocolate chips.

Nairn’s Gluten-Free Chunky Biscuit Breaks – Oats, Blueberry & Raspberry contains dried blueberries and raspberry pieces. 

The new products have around 64kcal per biscuit. 

Paddy Cronin, sales director at Nairn’s Oatcakes, says that the company plans to add to the range, as the newly-opened gluten-free bakery can support the added production capacity: Our NPD pipeline contains a number of further new GF projects for 2018 and beyond”.
