Bakery ASEAN to Launch in Indonesia in August 2026

Bakery ASEAN, the first B2B trade exhibition dedicated to the bakery industry in the ASEAN region, will take place from August 27 to 29, 2026, at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) in Indonesia.

The inaugural edition is expected to feature more than 150 global exhibitors, including over 100 Chinese brands. The exhibition will showcase products, technologies and integrated solutions covering the bakery and related food industry value chains.

Powered by Bakery China, a leading bakery exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region, the event is co-organized by the China Association of Bakery & Confectionery Industry and Bakery China Exhibitions Co. The organizers aim to use Bakery China’s established exhibitor network and buyer community to connect international bakery companies with the growing Southeast Asian market.

Zhang Jiukui, President of the China Association of Bakery & Confectionery Industry, stated: “The inaugural Bakery ASEAN marks an important step in deepening regional collaboration and unlocking the vast potential of Southeast Asia’s bakery sector. Building on the global reach and industry expertise of Bakery China, we are committed to providing a high-quality platform that facilitates trade, innovation, and knowledge exchange, and to opening a new chapter in the high-quality development of the ASEAN baking industry.”

Bakery ASEAN is expected to attract professional buyers from across the ASEAN region, including manufacturers, distributors, retail chains, supermarkets, hotels and foodservice operators. The exhibition will also include targeted buyer invitations and one-on-one business matching activities to facilitate connections between exhibitors and regional buyers.

More than 10 concurrent events will take place during the exhibition, including the ASEAN Bakery Industry Forum, which will focus on regional market trends and developments. Masterclasses led by pastry chefs and professionals, alongside competitions, networking events and technical seminars, will also form part of the program.

The launch of Bakery ASEAN comes as the region’s bakery industry continues to expand, with the event aiming to provide a platform for international and regional companies to establish new business connections and explore opportunities in Southeast Asia.
