Messe Frankfurt recently announced the launch of the Food Production Solutions Show, which will take place from October 26 to 28, 2027, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
The Food Production Solutions Show aims to bring together food manufacturers, processors, co-packers, ingredient suppliers, food scientists, engineers, compliance professionals, technology providers, automation specialists, packaging companies, logistics partners, consultants, investors, and industry organizations.
Constantin Von Vieregge, the President and CEO of Messe Frankfurt Inc., stated: “Food manufacturers don’t think in silos, and their challenges don’t exist in silos either, […] A growing processor may be dealing with formulation challenges, food safety requirements, labor shortages, automation decisions, and expansion planning all at the same time. We created this event to reflect how food businesses actually operate and to make it easier for manufacturers to find practical solutions that move them forward.”
The show floor is organized into four “Solution Zones” that are supposed to mirror the major stages of a food manufacturer’s growth journey. The Product Development and Planning zone focuses on concept development, formulation, ingredient sourcing, market validation, innovation, pilot production, and commercialization.
The Regulatory and Compliance zone provides expertise and solutions for food safety, quality assurance, certifications, labeling, traceability, testing, and regulatory requirements. The next zone, which is the Production and Facilities one, aims to connect manufacturers with processing equipment, engineering services, facility design, co-manufacturing partners, infrastructure solutions, and operational technologies.
Finally, the Operations and Scaling area proposes solutions for automation, packaging, workforce development, inventory management, manufacturing software, logistics, distribution, and business growth.
Messe Frankfurt also mentioned introducing education hubs located within each solution zone to provide the attendees with complimentary, solution-focused programming addressing commercialization, food safety, compliance, production optimization, workforce development, and scaling strategies.
Kerstin Horaczek, the Vice President of Technology Shows at Messe Frankfurt GmbH, added: “The Food Production Solutions Show reflects Messe Frankfurt’s commitment to supporting food manufacturers wherever they operate, […] Through IFFA, we’ve spent decades bringing together the world’s leading food processing technologies and industry expertise. Food Production Solutions Show extends that commitment to North America with a concept designed around the complete journey of today’s food manufacturer—connecting businesses with the knowledge, technologies, and partnerships they need to innovate, grow, and compete.”
