WIESHEU has reportedly found a solution to the challenges that are currently being posed on chain stores and retail sectors by the rising energy prices. The Wnet software solution for the digital networking of WIESHEU’s in-store ovens provides customers with insights into where energy is currently is being consumed.
Wnet operates as a software that connects all the ovens together to consume less energy, helps customers monitor all the ovens at the same time, avoid malfunctions, and save money. Since energy has become increasingly expensive, Wnet aims to help customers see what exactly is wasting energy through the control room and monitoring dashboard.
The software serves not only as a control tool, but also as an analytical instrument. Operators are provided with a database that allows them to compare consumption and performance across sites, using data collecting to determine what works and what doesn’t. The system provides real-time and historical analyses which helps short-term adjustments and the development of long-term efficiency strategies. This happens via remote support, and the feature has been developed with the help of CoBa AfterSales GmbH.
Automated functions such as autostart and pre-set cleaning programs are provided as well. These functions are said to minimize downtime, optimize energy usage and reduce the workload on staff. Other automatic functions include predictive maintenance, which lets the operator know ahead of time that the oven might need fixing or something changed, and the ability to install updates automatically when needed.
Another feature that WIESHEU is set to include into the software is data sovereignty. Wnet can be connected to the operator’s own servers or private cloud. The programme offers the option for the user to customize their software without any reliance on external cloud providers. Along with this feature, it is said that Wnet can run and remain stable during network outages as well.
Wnet ovens are equipped with control technologies that ensure energy is used only when and where it delivers value. The ActiveSteam system is designed so that it generates steam and distributes heat evenly across the entire oven. Along with this comes Intelligent Baking Control (IBC), which detects load volume inside the oven automatically, adjusting baking parameters accordingly.
Combined with Wnet, these technologies create an integrated energy management approach that extends from optimised baking performance at oven level to transparent, measurable, and predictable energy consumption across the entire branch network.
