Pillsbury Expands Portfolio with Freezer-to-Oven Croissants

General Mills’ Pillsbury brand has expanded its bakery portfolio with the launch of two freezer-to-oven croissant varieties, Butter Grands! Croissants and Chocolate Grands! Croissants.

Both varieties are sold in packs of eight and are designed to provide a convenient at-home alternative to traditional croissant preparation. The products join Pillsbury’s permanent lineup and became available nationwide in the US on August 23.

The new products are pre-shaped and can be baked directly from frozen without thawing or additional preparation. According to the company, Butter Grands! Croissants feature 48 layers made with real butter, while Chocolate Grands! Croissants combine 48 layers with Belgian cocoa.

The launch expands Pillsbury’s presence in the frozen bakery segment and follows other recent additions to the Grands! portfolio. Earlier this year, the brand introduced its Grands! Poppin’ Flavor range, featuring refrigerated biscuits with flavored butter pockets.
