BagelFest 2025 Set for November Return to Citi Field

The New York BagelFest will return to Citi Field on Sunday, November 16, 2025, with a global lineup of bakers competing for top honours and industry recognition. Presented by King Arthur Baking Company, the one-day festival is expected to draw more than 2,000 visitors, including professionals, media, and bagel enthusiasts from around the world.

Now in its fifth year, BagelFest has grown into one of the most influential bakery events in the U.S., providing a launch platform for emerging talent. Previous winners such as PopUp Bagels (Connecticut) and Starship Bagel (Dallas) have used their success to expand nationally and gain major culinary accolades.

This year’s competition will feature 25 bagel makers representing cities from Madrid and Honolulu to Montreal and New York, highlighting the international reach of bagel culture. Participants include established names such as Utopia Bagels, Ess-a-Bagel, and St-Viateur Bagel, alongside new entrants like Tilly Bagel Shop (Chicago) and Flour Moon Bagels (New Orleans). Gluten-free bakery Modern Bread & Bagel will also make its festival debut.

The event will include multiple award categories, with both audience voting and a professional judging panel determining winners for Best Bagel, Best Sandwich, Best Schmear, Most Creative, and Best Newcomer. New for 2025, subcategories will recognise Best New York Style, Best Sourdough, and Best Montreal Style bagels.

Beyond tastings and competition, BagelFest will host the World Bagel Rolling Championship, professional workshops, and the debut of the BagelFest Growth Lab, an incubator for emerging bagel makers.
