Renshaw Baking, the British Bakels-owned brand known for its fondant icing and marzipan, has unveiled five new product ranges in its biggest launch since being acquired by British Bakels in December 2023.
The new lines include Food Colourings, Metallic Paints, Sprinkles and Fruit Fillings – all firsts for the brand – alongside the return of Renshaw’s popular Chocolate Modelling Paste, now with an improved recipe. The expansion aims to revitalise the cake decorating market and broaden Renshaw’s reach across all areas of baking decoration.
“This is an exciting milestone for the Renshaw brand and is the beginning of an innovation pipeline that has been developed by listening to our customers and leveraging the global expertise of the Bakels Group,” said James Cawthorne, Managing Director at British Bakels. “Renshaw is a brand that is clearly loved by all bakers and has an incredibly loyal following. These new ranges are designed to bring the brand’s expertise to all areas of the cake decorating process, providing products that not only perform but that taste great too.”
The new Colours range features eight water-based and eight oil-based food colouring shades, available in 20g bottles or five-pack sets, while the Metallic Paints collection includes eight lustrous, glitter-finish food paints designed to add a premium touch to decorations.
Renshaw’s new Sprinkles come in four varieties, and its Fruit Fillings – a UK first – are made with real fruit and available in Cherry, Strawberry and Blueberry. They can be used for drizzling, layering or mixing into buttercream for a natural, fruity taste.
Fans of the brand will also welcome the return of the Chocolate Modelling Paste, now available in White Chocolate and Milk Chocolate. The reformulated recipe, made with real chocolate, promises enhanced flavour and easier handling for intricate designs.
The new ranges will debut at Cake International (31 October–2 November, NEC Birmingham), where 10% of all event sales will be donated to The Motor Neurone Disease Association. Products will then be available globally via Amazon and through Renshaw stockists across the UK and Europe in the coming weeks.
