Farmers in Argentina have begun a seven-day strike, refusing to sell their grains and beef.
They have also set up more than 100 roadblocks around the country, which are paralysing traffic.
It’s just the latest episode in a bitter dispute that goes back more than a year. Farmers went on strike last year for almost four months.
They want the government to roll back taxes imposed on exports of wheat and soy, and halt restrictions on the export of beef.
The disagreement has been heightened this year as Argentina is experiencing its worst drought in decades.
More than one million cattle have simply died of thirst, and the wheat harvest may be less than 50 per cent of the usual crop.
The farmers say the government is doing nothing to assist them.
