Grupo Bimbo Acquires a New Bread Factory in Romania

Grupo Bimbo has bolstered its Romanian presence with the acquisition of Karamolegos Bakery Romania. This follows the group’s 2023 entry into the market via its purchase of Vel Pitar.

Located in Ilfov, on the outskirts of Bucharest, Karamolegos Bakery Romania specialises in a variety of packaged breads for the retail sector. The business forms part of Karamolegos Bakery KB, which traces its origins back to Santorini, Greece, where it was established in 1950.
