A new toasted sourdough bun is now available for American consumers; Burger King restaurants launched the Sourdough King and the Breakfast Sourdough.
Burger King is also launching a marketing campaign with a debate on the question “Is the Sourdough King a burger or a sandwich?”. The debate video can be viewed on the company’s YouTube channel.
The new Sourdough King is made with more than ½ lb. of flame-grilled 100% beef, melted American cheese, crispy bacon, sliced onions and the chain’s signature sauce. The new offering keeps the iconic ingredients of Burger King flame-grilled burgers, and adds a fresh new flavor with the toasted sourdough bun, according to the fast-food giant’s announcement.
For breakfast, the Breakfast Sourdough King collection includes a savory sausage, smoked bacon, or sweet black forest ham, served with eggs and two helpings of melted American cheese, all on a soft toasted sourdough bun.
