In 2015, the winner of Growth Business Award was the wholesale artisan bakery The Bread Factory, who is dedicated to creating exceptional breads, pastries and cakes. The company has taken commercial baking to another level whilst retaining its craft baking roots.

The Bread Factory’s client list ranges from Michelin-starred restaurants to five star hotels and cafes, retailers and pub chains nationwide. Keenly focused on sales targets and high customer satisfaction, the business has grown sustainably, expanding its van delivery network and increasing its production space for a new cake department and morning goods section.

The winner of Apprentice of the Year at FDF awards 2015, Shaheed Gul Kattak, said: “It’s an absolute honor and feels so surreal to be given this award if I’m honest. It’s a reflection of the effort put in by both myself and my tutors/mentors who have taught me everything I know. Plus it’s always good to know that the effort you put in doesn’t go unnoticed“.
