SIAL Paris Preview: Over 7,000 Exhibitors and a Comprehensive Educational Program

In 2016, SIAL Paris will be an important source of inspiration for the world’s food industry. The trade fair takes place this year October 16-20, at Paris Nord Villepinte, highlighting 20 sectors in the global food industry.

SIAL 2016 in figures:

• 7000 exhibitors, suppliers to the agri-food industry;
• 85% international exhibitors – 105 countries represented;
• France is the most represented country;
• 20 exhibition sectors and food channels;
• Top 5 sectors: meat, dairy products, savoury grocery, frozen foods, sweet grocer;
• 82% of exhibitors were satisfied with their event and 89% would recommend SIAL;
• Average of 200 meetings per stand, 1/3 new contacts;
• 155,766 visitor entries;
• 71% international visitors – 194 countries represented;
• Some 90% of visitors were satisfied with their visit to the show;
• More than 9 visitors out of 10 were impressed with the variety of products on display at SIAL;
• Some 9 visitors out of 10 (87%) confirm that SIAL is an effective networking platform.

Educational program at SIAL 2016:

The trade fair’s program includes: conferences, roundtables, culinary demos, competitions and lots of other events waiting to be discovered. These different meeting formats and exchanges will help visitors to come up with new ideas and discover the new trends on the food market.
