IMCD Receives ESG Rating Upgrades from ISS ESG and Sustainalytics

MCD N.V., a global distributor and formulator of speciality chemicals and ingredients, has achieved higher ESG scores from both ISS ESG and Sustainalytics, reflecting progress in emissions reduction, transparency and risk management.

The company’s ESG Corporate Rating from ISS ESG has risen to B- from C+, placing it above the sector average. The assessment cited strong performance in managing ESG-related risks and opportunities, as well as improved public disclosures and responsible business practices. ISS ESG ratings range from A+ for excellent performance to D for very poor performance.

Sustainalytics lowered IMCD’s ESG Risk Rating from 12.6 to 11.6, maintaining the business in the “low risk” category. The evaluation highlighted robust management of material ESG issues and best-practice disclosure standards, supporting long-term accountability. Sustainalytics scores range from 0 to 100, with lower scores indicating stronger performance.

The upgrades follow IMCD’s EcoVadis Platinum medal awarded earlier in 2025, which placed the company among the top 1% of organisations assessed globally for sustainability performance.
