Franke Coffee Systems has been awarded the “Red Dot” distinction in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026 for its New A Line platform, recognising its focus on usability, performance and design integration in professional coffee environments.
The award, widely regarded as a benchmark for design quality, is judged by an independent panel of international experts, assessing criteria such as innovation, functionality, usability and aesthetics.
The New A Line was developed to address operational challenges in high-volume settings including hotels, restaurants and convenience retail. The system combines advanced brewing technology with an intuitive, image-led user interface powered by FrankeOS, aiming to streamline workflows while maintaining consistent beverage quality.
According to the company, the platform integrates design and functionality to support speed, customisation and reliability in daily operations. The machine’s architecture is based on durable metal components, complemented by selected use of recycled plastics to balance performance and sustainability over its lifecycle. It is available in multiple finishes to fit different hospitality environments.
Marco Zancolò, CEO of Franke Coffee Systems, said the award highlights the role of design in supporting operational efficiency and product consistency in demanding professional settings.
The recognition follows a previous win at the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026, further reinforcing the company’s focus on performance-driven equipment design for the foodservice sector.
