The pladis Biscuits Enter Snacks Recycling Program

TerraCycle, McVitie’s, Carr’s, Go Ahead and Jacob’s have partnered to create a free recycling program for any brand of biscuit, cracker and cake wrappers.

The program operates through a network of private and public drop-off locations throughout the UK. The consumers, companies, charities or schools can either drop off the biscuit, cracker and cake wrappers at an existing public drop-off location or set up a new public drop-off location by creating an account, clicking on “join program for free”.

Then, they are able to collect wrappers and to send them to TerraCycle for recycling. Each wrapper collected earns points that can be redeemed in cash donations for a school or charity of collector’s choice.

Many companies in the UK have already entered this program. Among them – the bread producer Hovis, or snacks producers PepsiCo and KP Snacks.
