Forget difficult stacking with biscuit sandwiching machine

An easy to maintain in-line biscuit sandwiching machine that eliminates the need for stacking systems that are traditionally both complex and expensive is now available to UK and Irish makers of filled and sandwich biscuits such as Bourbon, custard creams and cookies with a jam and cream filling.

Called the Capptronic, the machine is manufactured by COMAS, the world leading producer of machinery for the baking and food processing industries, which is famed for the quality and reliability of its unparalleled range of depositors.

EPP managing director Keith Stalker said: “When it was recently given its public debut at an overseas exhibition it received a great reception. We are delighted to be able to introduce it into the UK. Special attention has been paid to making sure the machine is as easy to maintain and clean as possible. Components including the lateral guides, aligning rollers and dosing manifold can be quickly removed for cleaning.

“Its fully washable frame is covered in stainless steel panels allowing the machine to be easily cleaned on site.’ He explained that the feed conveyor also has a continuous washing system meaning that the operator does not be involved in washing.”
