König celebrates 45 years in business

König is celebrating its anniversary after being founded 45 years ago in the rooms of a small locksmith‘s shop in Austria.

Today the König group – including the production sites Graz-Andritz and Celldömolk and the sales offices in Germany, USA and Netherlands – has about 470 employees.

Innovation, product development and personnel development – König has more than 30 apprentices per year – are the main principles of the König company philosophy.

In addition, the company presented future development projects under the motto “König tomorrow”. Currently König works on a inexpensive and very compact dough dividing and rounding machine with the working title Mini Mini Rex which will be launched at the Südback 2011, a Combiline with a working width of 800mm for the production of cut rolls and Kaiser rolls, as well as on the expansion of the “Hygienic Design” for the König product program.
