Mettler-Toledo to Showcase Advanced Inspection Technologies at PPMA Total Show 2025

Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection will present its latest innovations under the theme Inspect. Protect. Comply. at the upcoming PPMA Total Show, taking place 23–25 September at the NEC Birmingham. The company will demonstrate a range of cutting-edge inspection systems designed to boost product safety, support compliance, and enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Exhibiting on Stand C84, Mettler-Toledo will feature three core technologies live on stand:

  • X52 X-ray Inspection System – A dual-energy solution offering precise detection of low-density contaminants such as bone, rubber and glass. It is suited for complex or high-risk food applications, with modular design and intuitive software for seamless integration.

  • Profile Throat Metal Detector – Engineered for space-constrained lines, particularly above Vertical Form, Fill and Seal (VFFS) machines. The system offers high sensitivity and easy operation for effective metal detection in free-falling products.

  • CMV Combination System – A compact unit that integrates checkweighing, label inspection, and metal detection. Fully configurable, the CMV Combi enhances compliance, reduces giveaway and supports consistent label accuracy.

Attendees from the food manufacturing sector can also explore ProdX™ data management software, which automates real-time monitoring and reporting across inspection points. The software supports compliance and due diligence while offering insights to optimise production and reduce costs.

Equipment from Mettler-Toledo’s Industrial and Process Analytics divisions will also be featured, with further details to follow.

“This year at PPMA, we’re inviting manufacturers to take a fresh look at product inspection as a driver of quality, compliance and operational efficiency,” says Baptiste Naegelen, Head of Product Inspection, Mettler-Toledo UK and Ireland. “Our latest technologies give manufacturers the confidence to inspect every product, protect their brand and comply with global standards, while reducing costs and optimising productivity.”
