The Federation of Bakers, the representative body for the UK’s largest baking companies manufacturing sliced and wrapped bread, bakery snacks and other bread products, today announced the launch of its new website, designed as a source of information about the UK bread industry.
The new website at www.bakersfederation.org.uk has been given a fresh new design and layout and features four distinct new sections: members, media, consumer and education, making it much easier for visitors to navigate to the information they require.
The site includes everything visitors need to know about the Federation of Bakers and the UK baking industry.
New features include a consumer information section featuring popular recipes using bread and over 20 informative factsheets on bread and nutrition, covering topics from myths and facts about bread to bloating and IBS.
The site also boasts a new and improved members’ area giving members secure access to a range of industry guidance, policy documents and information on Federation of Bakers committees and their current areas of work.
Gordon Polson, Director, Federation of Bakers, said: “The UK Bakery market is one of the largest markets in the food industry. We hope the new website will help both members and consumers gain easy access to accurate and up-to-date information.”
The Federation has 8 member companies running 46 bakeries in the United Kingdom, supplying 80% of the UK’s bread.
