TMS Publishing Group introduces first digital standardized format – EPUB
Dear readers and advertisers,
You have probably noticed that we continuously aspire towards the highest publishing standards and actively follow publishing trends. In February 2014, we built two portals for two different industries, accompanied by online magazines, and invested in expanding our team to be able to pursue daily news at an international level.
Simultaneously working on these projects, we want to deliver a unique service, through the first standardized format within this industry, approved and developed by an international institution – the International Digital Publishing Forum. As a 26–year-old b2b publishing house, we felt the need to introduce and create this format for the industries we follow. Even though our print magazines still retain the highest value for us and remain our core business, we want to provide the experience of reading the best picks of the content in a digital format.
- What is ePUB and what will it provide for our readers? The ePUB format is responsive, gives accurate positioning of text and graphics, font embedding, animations, buttons, hyperlinks, slideshows, galleries, video and audio. Not only that, text in ePUB is searchable and with fully adjustable sizes for any type of reader.
- How does one read ePUB publications?
Simply by clicking the link and opening by any of these applications:
1) On Android phone/tablet: Google Play Books or Gitden reader
2) On iOS/iPhone/iPad: iBooks
1) On PC computer: Adobe Digital Editions 4, Readium extension for Chrome web browser
2) On MAC computer: iBooks (OS X Mavericks and Yosemite), Adobe Digital Editions 4, Readium extension for Chrome web browser
All the above reader applications are free.
- What will ePUB bring to our advertisers? We want to offer our advertiser the same experience in presenting their products as that provided for our content. Q2 of World Bakers Digital will be an ePUB-based issue published on May 14, and Potato Business Digital on June 11.
