A UK bakery chain has been forced to call in administrators after failing to find a buyer for the business.
Family-firm Ainsleys, which owns 29 shops, said the business had been heavily affected by the recession, declining retail sales and increased competition in the marketplace.

The administration of the firm is being overseen by Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants in Leeds.
A statement released by Grant Thornton, said: “The administrators intend to continue trading the business and will be making contact with those same parties and others in an effort to find a purchaser for all or part of the operation.”
