Mondelēz International launches the Shopper Future program in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

 
The biscuits producer Mondelēz International has launched the Shopper Future program in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, through the company wants to collaborate with the brightest minds in the industry and the startup world to shape the future of retail, both in-store an online.

Shopper Futures, Mondelēz International’s initiative, brings together leading retailers, entrepreneurs and its own brands to help transform the consumer retail experience.

Start-ups brings their ideas to the company and winners will partner for 90 days with brands like OreoMilkabelVita and Mikado on new programs. After a rigorous evaluation process, the startups are invited to a Pitch Day to present and meet with participating retailers and brand intrapreneurs.

Mondelēz International is mentioning that technology has had an undeniable impact on the consumer path to success. “According to Google, 8 out of 10 smartphone shoppers use mobile devices in-store to help with shopping.  That’s why we enlisting starts ups to help us to solve these new shopper marketing challenges in our snaking categories and unlock new opportunities for growth”, according to Mondelēz.

The program builds on the successful initiative in the USA and Canada that paired the brands with selected startups to accelerate existing innovation and give birth to new venture.
