Reading Bakery Systems names Hassan Harakeh as sales manager for the Middle East and Africa Region

 
The manufacturer of baking and process systems for the global snack food industry Reading Bakery Systems (RBS) has announced Hassan Harakeh as the company Sales Manager Middle East and Africa. 

In his new role, he will be responsible for directing sales efforts of RBS equipment and systems across the region, and assisting with trade shows, advertising, technical conferences and other marketing opportunities. He will report to David Kuipers, vice president, sales and marketing.

“Hassan has extensive knowledge of the food industry and knows many customers and companies in the Middle East and Africa,” said Kuipers. “We have seen firsthand how customers trust his experience and guidance. We are confident Hassan will help us advance our sales efforts in this important region.”

Harakeh is originally from Lebanon and is a graduate of the AmericanUniversity of Beirut with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, and a Master’s in Food Production and Agricultural Economics. He is fluent in French, Arabic, and English.

Prior to his new position, Harakeh was with Reading Bakery System’s parent company, the Markel Food Group, and helped establish Markel’s office and regional presence in Dubai. He worked with the equipment and processes from AMF and Tromp, and also helped RBS in a part-time role. Before that he had held positions with the Malco Group in both Dubai and Lebanon.
