Upgrades for Brabender’s Equipment

Brabender has announced a facelift of its flour mill Brabender Quadrumat Junior and the upgrade of the MetaBridge Controller.
Brabender’s universal use laboratory flour mill is an easy to operate classic when it comes to preparing samples of wheat, spelt, rye, barley and rice for quality analyses. It works on a roller basis in a multi-stage milling process, which creates standardised laboratory flours in just a single pass – with reproducible test results in a realistic simulation of the production process.

The Quadrumat Junior quickly delivers precise products in lab scale, which, in terms of dough, yield and baking properties, almost match commercially produced milled grain products. The ground material is separated and collects in a powder/bran drawer, where it can be subjected to standard inspec-tions, such as with a Farinograph, Extensograph, Amylograph or Alveograph, or for sample size calculation.

The second product which benefited of an upgrade is the new MetaBridge Controller (MBC). This a simple and economical way to integrate Brabender’s trailblazing MetaBridge software. This upgrade kit for the latest generation of instruments makes it possible to simultaneously connect up to four MetaBridge-compatible instruments via its USB ports. So it is not always necessary to purchase the latest laboratory equipment in order to be able to take advantage of this innovative software’s many benefits.

The MetaBridge builds digital bridges, enabling up-to-date management of laboratory projects. The new, intelligent software not only connects the instruments and their measurement results, but also their users: on any type of end device, internally within the company, across all locations, and optionally even at suppliers and clients. The MBC has a compact design, being just a little smaller than a sheet of A4 paper. It can lie flat on top of many Brabender devices or, with a vertical width of just 7.5 cm, can be stored upright even in the most cramped laboratory workplace.
