AB Mauri Completes the Acquisition of Holgran and Fleming Howden

AB Mauri UK and Ireland has completed the acquisition of both Holgran and Fleming Howden from Rank Hovis Milling Ltd, companies specialized in the production of bakery ingredients.

Holgran and Fleming Howden are located in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire and Newbridge, Edinburgh respectively. Both businesses are well established, with rich heritages, and will come together to extend the AB MAURI portfolio, the company says.

“In Holgran, we have a renowned supplier of malted grains, seeds and blend inclusions; which complements our existing portfolio of products. In Fleming Howden, we have an excellent operator, renowned for sourcing, manufacturing and distributing a wide range of yeast and bakery ingredients, delivering excellent service to the Scottish bakery industry,” says AB Mauri in a press release.

With these acquisitions, AB Mauri expects to develop its existing technical capability and broaden market opportunities alike. Most importantly, AB Mauri will be able to build on its ability to flexibly respond to customers.
