Niacet Corporation has announced that it is increasing production capacity for Niacet NIAPROOF Crystal Pro calcium propionate by five thousand metric tons.
The capacity expansion will be on line in the 3rd quarter of 2011 at the Niacet Niagara Falls, NY site.
Niacet is the global leader in sales and capacity for calcium propionate. Calcium propionate is recognized the world over as the proven safe and effective inhibitor of mold and rope growth in bread.
Since the introduction of NIAPROOF Crystal Pro in 2004, the market has overwhelmingly embraced the low dust, free flowing characteristics of this product which has necessitated the expansion.
This expansion follows on from the 2010 construction of a nine thousand metric ton sodium and calcium stearoyl lactylate manufacturing plant, also at Niagara Falls.
This production plant filled the need for a strong domestic alternative in North America for these key products.
These investments continue to confirm Niacet’s commitment to the global baking industry.
