Hamburger Chain Announces Expansion of Delivery Segment

American fast-food hamburger chain White Castle announced a new partnership with last-mile logistics platform DoorDash to expand delivery options for nearly 300 White Castle locations.

The partnership further boosts convenience and availability of menu items.

White Castle’s menu items, such as The Original Slider, the celebrated Veggie Slider, breakfast anytime or Crave Case will be available for orders.

“We’re thrilled to further our mission to accommodate our many cravers where they’re at, and this new partnership with DoorDash will take our delivery capabilities to the next level,” said Lisa Ingram, president and chief executive officer at White Castle. “Since 1921, our team members have been using innovation and creativity to fine-tune the White Castle experience and that experience just got better thanks to this new partnership.”

In celebration of the new partnership, DoorDash will offer free delivery on all orders of USD10 or more from White Castle restaurants between July 30 and August 5, 2018; no promotion code needed. Consumers in the participating areas can use the DoorDash app or website to order their favorite White Castle products with just a tap or a click, without leaving home or work.

“DoorDash was founded to help local business owners scale, which is why our partnership with White Castle—a multigenerational family-owned business—is so meaningful to us,” said Christopher Payne, chief operating officer at DoorDash. ”

White Castle is a family-owned business for 97 years. Today White Castle owns and operates nearly 400 restaurants in 13 states. The company owns and operates its own meat processing plants and bakeries as well as three frozen food processing plants.
