British bakery specializing in gluten-free products, Davina Steel, has launched a brand new range of baked snacks to fill a gap in the market for gluten-free on-the-go products.
Davina Steel Bakery is the only commercial gluten-free and nut-free bakery in East Anglia. Following the success of its home-baking kits and mixes, the company has now launched of a new range of baked snacks that come in easy to carry snack packs.
There are seven snacks in the new range, with both sweet and savory options to choose from, including crostini in three flavors: garlic & rosemary, onion, and lightly salted; biscotti in two flavors: lemon & poppy seed and orange & choc chip; shortbread biscuits, and gingerbread mini bites.
The range is accompanied by the popular Gingerbread Men, which will be decorated in seasonally-appropriate attire for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter; the first batch is ideal for mother’s day and spring and comes with hearts or heart and flowers, in mixed batches.
“Ever since we opened our own purpose-built gluten-free bakery last year it has been our intention to create our own branded bakery range. We’ve noticed a huge gap in the market for good-quality and delicious gluten-free snacks that can be enjoyed on the go. There’s little out there to cater for this category so we’ve filled the gap with a range that should appeal to all tastes and eating occasions,” explained Davina Steel, co-founder of the brand.
Davina Steel expects the products to prove popular as both impulse purchases and everyday treats or nibbles. “It is often very difficult to find good-quality gluten-free snacks when you’re out and about. Our new range ticks so many boxes for allergy sufferers and meets the growing demand for out-of-the-home snacking,” she added.
The new Crostini, Biscotti, Shortbread Biscuits, Gingerbread Mini Bites, and Gingerbread Men will be available throughout the U.K. from March. All products are made using natural ingredients with no preservatives or chemicals.
