The new company announced the merger and the new common website that details its purpose and activities.
The merger process started in May 2022, when Royal DSM (or DSM) and Firmenich announced that they had entered into a business agreement to establish the leading creation and innovation partner in nutrition, beauty and well-being. The combination brings together Firmenich’s Perfumery and Taste businesses, its science platforms and associated co-creation capabilities with DSM’s Health and Nutrition portfolio and scientific expertise. The new company will have four high-performing and complementary businesses: perfumery & beauty, taste, texture & health, health, nutrition & care, and animal nutrition & health.
“It’s not every day you get to launch a new company. Especially not one as industry-redefining as dsm-firmenich!,” said Dimitri de Vreeze, co-CEO of the new venture. “I’m so proud of everything our people have accomplished so that we could unveil dsm-firmenich all around the world simultaneously today.”
The new company boasts a EUR12+bn in combined revenue, about 30,000 employees globally and 150+ years of combined scientific discovery and innovation heritage.
