Middleby Acquires BannerDay Equipment and Filtration Automation

Baker Thermal Solutions, a Middleby Bakery Co., acquired BannerDay’s rectification ignitors and SmartBake oven zone controls support inventory and engineering collateral. This addition will enable the customer service/support efforts for legacy BannerDay SmartBake and Total Oven Control Solutions to Baker Thermal Solutions.

For many years the two organizations have partnered in oven installations and upgrades resulting in knowledge and experience that will benefit current and future patrons. This foundation will also provide a seamless transition from BannerDay to Baker Thermal Solutions in this category of customer support, according to the company.

A second acquisition was made when Middleby welcomed Filtration Automation, Inc. to the Middleby Food Processing family. “The patented Micron-Pro oil filtration technology will be a huge benefit to Middleby customers and partners as we expand our full line processing solutions,” said the company.

The Micron-Pro high-volume, low pressure oil debris removal system is a patented process and data indicates the technology can be twice as effective as similar systems. No downtime is needed for oil changes and oil life can be extended up to 200%with no consumables required. This innovation gives operators reduced input costs, labor savings and increased throughput.
