Ajax Equipment Introduces New Mixer

Ajax Equipment has introduced a new food-grade stainless steel continuous mixer designed for hygienic production and flexible ingredient handling in food manufacturing environments.

The Ajax twin mixer combines the company’s mixing and hygienic processing technologies into a single system aimed at reducing downtime between production runs while maintaining consistent mixing performance. The machine is equipped with an inverter-rated motor that allows operators to adjust mixing speeds and intensity depending on product requirements.

The mixer can operate with either LynFlow ribbon augers or paddle augers, which are interchangeable to accommodate different applications. According to the company, the ribbon configuration is intended for gentler mixing, while the paddle augers provide a higher degree of shear intensity.

Ajax said the mixer’s profiled casing is designed to prevent material build-up by ensuring all ingredients remain in active circulation during operation. The system is intended to handle a range of food products and ingredients, including nuts, cereals, syrups, potato products, chocolate pastes and inclusions.

The machine also incorporates features intended to simplify cleaning and maintenance. Polished internal surfaces, accessible covers and removable augers are designed to support hygiene requirements and reduce cleaning times. The mixer can additionally be filled with water and cleaning fluid for washdown procedures while operating with covers closed.

Eddie McGee, managing director of Ajax Equipment, said the system was developed to support food manufacturers seeking hygienic production and flexibility across multiple product types. He added that the company can provide practical trials and rental options for customers evaluating the equipment.
