Arla Foods Ingredients Expands Latin American Reach with New Chile Distribution Deal

Arla Foods Ingredients has signed a new distribution agreement with MasterSense to deliver its advanced nutrition solutions to the Chilean market, deepening a partnership that began in Mexico in 2024.

The collaboration targets two fast-growing segments in Chile: performance nutrition—including sports, health and supplements—and food and beverage applications such as dairy, bakery, beverages, and foodservice. The agreement reflects both companies’ ambitions to expand their footprint in Latin America’s evolving nutrition landscape.

MasterSense, active in six countries and serving 11 across the region, brings technical expertise and a strong commercial presence in Chile. The company is well-positioned to deliver Arla’s high-protein, functional ingredient solutions to local manufacturers.

“Chile is one of our top three markets in South America, with a vibrant food innovation scene,” said Vinicius Morais, Head of Sales – South America at Arla Foods Ingredients. “This partnership enables us to strengthen support for Chilean producers and meet rising consumer demand for protein-rich, natural products.”

According to a recent Arla Foods Ingredients survey of 1,000 Chilean consumers, protein content, taste, convenience, and naturalness are top purchase drivers. Yogurt, dairy drinks, bread, and juice were the most cited categories where consumers want to see higher protein content.

“We’re proud to advance our partnership with Arla Foods Ingredients,” said Gustavo Assis, President of MasterSense. “Chile is a dynamic and health-conscious market. With our local expertise and technical support, we’re ready to bring value to manufacturers and consumers alike.”
