Campden BRI has announced a new structure and new appointments in order to meet its members’ and clients’ needs. Peter Headridge (pictured) has been appointed as chief operating officer at Campden BRI, while Barbara Lunnon (pictured) has also joined as associate director, consulting (science).

Headridge brings with him over 27 years’ experience in the food industry and was the former Vice President of R&D, quality, nutrition (health & wellness) & regulatory EMEA at the Kellogg Company. Most recently he was managing director at Peak Food Solutions, from where he joins Campden BRI. He will lead and oversee the organization’s science and technology divisions.

Lunnon joins from global bakery leader CSM Bakery Solutions where she was director of product marketing responsible for strategy development and implementation for various baked goods and cake portfolios. She began her career at Unilever. She will be responsible for Campden BRI’s science-led consultancy activities.
Campden BRI celebrated 100 years in 2019 and the new structure implemented has the goal to best meet the need of members and clients. “With Chris Huscroft assuming the role of chief executive (as announced in December), we are delighted to welcome Peter Headridge who, in succeeding Chris as chief operating officer, will lead our science and technology work that lies at the heart of all we do for clients,” Campden BRI said.

Emma Hanby has been appointed associate director consulting (technology), drawing on her extensive experience in both technical and commercial roles at Campden BRI. As associate director analytical services, Nick Byrd brings 30 years’ experience of working with members and clients, to lead and deliver integrated analytical and testing services that meet their diverse needs across all sectors.

Campden BRI’s research, skills and knowledge base that underpins all these activities will be overseen by Craig Leadley in the newly created role of head of strategic knowledge development. His team will focus on extracting maximum value – for both members and Campden BRI – from the member-funded research program and collaborative relationships with government, the research community and funding bodies.
