MULTIVAC Invests EUR18.8m in New Production Site in Bulgaria

MULTIVAC has started construction of a new production site in Bulgaria, an investment of EUR18.8m by 2019.

Christian Traumann, CFO of MULTIVAC and Ivaylo Dimitrov, Managing Director of MULTIVAC Bulgaria Production, gave the starting signal for the site to be built on a total area of about 20,000 square meters in the Industrial Zone Bozhurishte, on September 15. The first phase is planned to be commissioned until August/September 2017. MIKS is the project artist and IPS Group is project manager.
The complex includes the construction of a high-technology enterprise for the production of parts and components for MULTIVAC packaging machines, including a manufacturing building, warehouse and logistics premises, a training center and administrative facilities. In addition, MULTIVAC will develop in the next years a center for shared IT services, working from 2015, and a center for strategic sourcing. In the coming years, R & D department will be added, too. 

By commissioning the production site, MULTIVAC will create more than 150 new jobs in the region.
