New Additions at Synova – Bundy Baking Solutions’ Latest Business Venture

Following the launch of a new business, Synova, to manufacture and distribute baking release agents, Bundy Baking Solutions announces Ada Lacayo and William Bowers have joined the team.

Ada Lacayo was appointed as lab director. She has had a successful career in the manufacture of consumer-packaged goods (CPG), ingredients, and equipment for the food industry. She brings focused expertise on release agent development and their application equipment.

William “Chick” Bowers was appointed business development manager for Synova. Bowers has over 30 years of experience in the baking industry, working both in bakery operations and the sale of release agents and equipment.

Robert Bundy was appointed president of Synova. Bundy has served in various roles with Bundy Baking Solutions over the last 14 years. In addition to his new Synova role, Bundy will continue as vice president of Pan Glo USA operations.

Synova, located in Westerville, Ohio, joins the Bundy Baking Solutions family of companies by offering release agents for baked goods including bread and cakes, as well as food-grade release agents for troughs and other bakery equipment.

In an interview, Synova representatives shared details regarding the starting product portfolio of the company: “Synova Supra Release Agents provide more value and stability than any other release agent. They are sourced from the highest-grade ingredients and blended to formulate proprietary bread pan oils. [You can] reduce oil use, hone your glazing schedule, and extend the release life of your pans with the help of Synova expert release agent formulas, precise automated production process, and consistent, on-the-ground support in your bakery.” The company offers a variety of formulas and can provide the exact oil according to the bakery’s size, production process, and baked goods.

The current portfolio is available in the US and will be sold globally as of August.

The company is working on developing other formulations and variations for release agents. With this endeavor, the company aims to support its customer base by “providing the complete pan solutions, from the production of pans, to the cleaning and reglazing, to the release agents used, etc. We want to ensure the longevity of our pans and our release agents will help with that,” Synova tells us.
