Nomad Foods Europe Appoints New CCO

 

Nomad Foods Europe, the largest frozen food company on the continent, has announced that Albert Mathieu will join the company as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at the beginning of October.

Mathieu has spent the last three years at Mondelez as President of Biscuits Europe, responsible for a large portfolio of international brands including Oreo, Lu, TUC and Belvita, as well as many local brands. Before joining Mondelez in 2013, he built his career at Mars where he had a variety of roles in Petcare, Food and Chocolate in Europe and South America during the 19 years he was at the company.

Stefan Descheemaeker, CEO of Nomad Foods, said, “Albert is a great fit for our business and I’m delighted that he is joining us. Albert brings with him a wealth of FMCG experience from a variety of roles and he will play an important part in achieving our bigger ambition to create a leading global consumer food company. I have been impressed by his passion for food and the energy that he will bring to the company in this vital leadership role.”

Nomad Foods Europe is currently distributing the Birds Eye, iglo and Findus brands in 17 countries.
