Pecan Deluxe Announces Factory Expansion

Pecan Deluxe Candy (Europe) Ltd will launch upgraded and extended manufacturing facilities at its Yorkshire headquarters, in the UK, on November 29, 2018.

The manufacturer has implemented a GBP3m makeover during the last 12 months, including expansion of its warehousing, logistics and manufacturing areas, and the installation of a brand new cold extrusion line to help meet increasing demand for cookie dough. The expansion has improved access between various production and storage units to increase efficiency through the reduction of stock movements, and a series of new equipment installations that will increase production capacities in the chocolate molding and bakery areas. Employees are also benefiting from an updated and extended working environment.

Recognizing increasing demand for the company’s wide selection of ingredients, the investment also includes the installation of loading canopies and the addition of new onsite frozen storage units – powered by a new, dedicated substation.

The launch event which will feature live product demonstrations, tours of the upgraded and extended factory, and an exclusive in-depth presentation on the latest food and beverage trends influencing the industry today and in the future. Pecan Deluxe will also unveil an innovative new project that the company has been developing and which has so far been kept a closely guarded secret.

EMEA and APAC managing director, Graham Kingston, will officially host the event. Graham explained: “It’s fascinating to see how not a minute has been wasted: as soon as one extension or enhancement was in place, it was immediately in demand to help meet orders and support R&D projects from both existing and new customers.
