Angel Yeast introduced its new Feravor series at IBA 2025 in Düsseldorf and the China Bakery Exhibition, offering a significant breakthrough in clean-label baking with naturally flavoured yeast solutions. Designed to elevate aroma and extend freshness without additives, the innovation drew strong interest from global bakery professionals.
Developed through proprietary microbial fermentation technology, Feravor includes two natural variants—Feravor-Rose and Feravor-Buttery—crafted to enhance bread flavour complexity while supporting sustainable production practices. The solution meets growing demand for cleaner, more natural ingredients without compromising efficiency or scalability.
Natural Fermentation, Enhanced Aroma
Feravor works by intensifying natural aroma during fermentation, using targeted yeast strains that eliminate the need for artificial flavourings. Compatible with a wide range of bread styles and existing recipes, the yeasts integrate easily into commercial baking processes and perform well with both standard and high-sugar baker’s yeasts.
“Feravor achieves what artificial additives once promised, but through entirely natural processes,” said Dr. Yafang Sun, General Manager of Angel Yeast’s Yeast and Strain Resource Technology Center. “It’s the result of strategic strain selection and precision fermentation.”
Two Signature Profiles
-
Feravor-Rose: Sourced from traditional Chinese fermented foods, this strain imparts floral, fruity and brandy-like notes. It also contributes to shelf life through natural antimicrobial compounds.
-
Feravor-Buttery: Developed from strains found in plateau dairy products, it delivers buttery and floral aromas. It is particularly suited to time-sensitive baking, maintaining dough softness over 48-hour cold proofs and enhancing moisture in sugar-free breads.
A Step Forward in Clean-Label Innovation
As demand rises for health-forward, natural products, Angel Yeast’s Feravor series offers bakers a powerful tool to meet these expectations. It enables flavour-rich, clean-label breadmaking while supporting process flexibility and product differentiation.
The company plans to continue advancing natural yeast technologies that align with environmental goals and consumer trends—helping redefine the standards for modern baking.
