Finsbury to Extend Cake Range

Finsbury Food Group is adding six new lines to its Thorntons cake range, which are arriving on supermarket shelves throughout October. The company has recently introduced three new celebration cakes to the market, including the UK’s first emoji cakes.

All the new products have been designed in order to satisfy emerging trends in the market. The new products include Thorntons Indulgent Bites Range, Thorntons White Chocolate Caramel Shortcake and Thorntons Champagne Bottle Celebration Cake. The Thorntons cake range will also have three, new seasonal additions to cater for consumers looking for specific seasonal products: Festive Caramel Shortcake, Thorntons Festive Chocolate Orange Bites and Thorntons Creepy Caramel Shortcake.

Natalie Nairn, brand manager for Finsbury Food Group said: “Although there is no doubt that chocolate cake will never go out of fashion, we can see that consumers want more choice, whether that’s a white chocolate option or the chance to share and snack on cake during a night in.

On the other hand, Finsbury has recently introduced three new celebration cakes to the market as:  Blaze and the Monster Machines sponge cake, My Little Pony cake, and the UK’s first emoji cakes.
